How to Choose a Baby Changing Bag
Posted: Thursday 4 March 2010
A hassle-free day out with your little one might just depend on the kind of baby changing bag that you have. Clueless on how to get your money's worth without compromising on fashion?
Here's what we think should be considered when buying your first baby change bag:
DURABLE. Make sure the baby bag is water-resistant & wipeable to protect it from those unexpected spills and smears. The fabric should be strong - and the same goes for the bag straps, so it can withstand the wears and tears of daily use. Full milk bottles, nappies, baby clothes, wipes, muslins, toys, beakers etc etc etc are heavy!

SPACIOUS. The size of the baby change bag you are looking for should be the right size for your precious baby's necessities, but too big for you to carry around. Choose a changing bag that has lots of smaller pockets and compartments for keeping your bits and pieces neatly in place.
COMFORTABLE. You might end up carrying your baby changing bag all day (!!), so choose one which is comfortable. You could buy a baby change pram bag, to attach to your buggy most of the time, or maybe use a messenger-style baby change bag if you plan to go hands-free.
STYLISH. Who said being a mum can't be fashionable? If you're not in
to yellow ducks and blue ribbons, get a changing bag which goes well with your personal style. With so many gorgeous styles around (have you seen our boutique range of baby changing bags?), even your friends won't categorize your stylish new bag as a baby changing bag. Also, don't forget Daddy - you might like to choose a baby change bag that will also be appropriate for him.
