There is a multitude of different sources of information on all aspects relating to breastfeeding. Your local NCT branch or community midwife can be a great place to start. You may find some of the following resources useful.
National Childbirth Trust - The leading charity dealing with pregnancy, birth and early parenthood in the UK, operating at both local and national levels across the United Kingdom. National Health Service - lots of information on the benefits of breastfeeding including lists of phone number to ring if you have any questions or concerns. The Baby Centre - lots of links to articles covering all aspects of breastfeeding. There is also an 'Ask an Expert' section where you can post specific questions to their panel of experts and see answers to questions posted by other mums. There is also a discussion board section which is quite useful. Jane’s breast-feeding resources - describes itself as: "an information website dedicated to the promotion of breastfeeding. We believe mothers all over the world should have access to informed choices when it comes to feeding their children & to that end we continue to gather that information so our visitors can be best placed to make those choices." La Leche League UK - describes itself as a source: " For friendly mother-to-mother breastfeeding support from pregnancy through to weaning, just say 'la lay-chay'" |
